David Villa has played for Sporting Gijón B from 1999 to 2001. Later, he played in the club's main team from 2001 to 2003. Then, he played for Real Zaragoza until 2005, before moving back, and playing for Valencia. From 2010 to the present, David Villa plays for Barcelona.

International

David Villa has played 7 times for Spain's U-21 national team, but failed to score, from 2000 to 2003.

From 2005 to the present, David plays for the Senior national team. His first debut for the senior national team came when Spain faced San Marino.David helped defend Spain in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the 2008 European Cup and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
